Lion Fight 54: Route 66 Casino Hotel
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Preface:
In the Summer of 2019, I met Marc Entenberg, a professional Muay Thai fight from Rochester, NY training at Jackson Wink MMA Academy in ABQ, NM following his "fight camp" for 2 weeks leading up to Lion Fight 54.
Marc asked me to document his fight and if couldn't pass up the opportunity of a lifetime to shoot my first professional Combat Sports Press Conference and Muay Thai Fight.
Marc and I also shot a podcast that covers his entire life and career yet to be fully published over 2 hours.
Every event I document has its Challenge that one must overcome to tell a Narrative Life Experience story with Visual Media.
And if you were at the Fight, it's an incredible story that sounds like a script from a movie.
I still remember the end of the night at the Route 66 Hotel of EPIC FIGHTS seeing Scott Kent, the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Lion Fight Promotions giving me a quick smile as the stoic he is, shaking his hand, patting me on the back and just giving me a look of confidence, determination, and what I perceived as a "thank you" for shooting the event.
Taking a chance, risking it all for the thrill of the moment from one of my favorite songs from the 80's movie RAD by John Farnham's "Thunder In Your Heart" pierced thought my mind that night.
The "Reflection Of Moments" I captured are still some of my favorite to this day of the moment he won his fight as ,you see on my homepage.
I later contacted Scott via LinkedIn to reach out and connect if I was ever in Las Vegas, NV to ,say hi, have lunch which we still have yet to do and shoot a potential podcast.
It's not every day you receive a compliment from the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the biggest Muay Thai promotional company in the WORLD, equivalent to the UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship of Mixed Martial Arts.
Although I cannot find the exact quote, Scott said that he "loved" my pictures from the event and that is what I will always take away from Lion Fight 54.
Until the next Lion Fight, I leave you with the pictures below.
In the coming months, I'll find the time to post all the pictures from Marc's fight, the other fighters, and his podcast.
Cheers,
s.
